Picture this: It’s the weekend and you’ve finally decided to do something you’ve been putting off forever - Clearing out your bursting wardrobe.
You start rummaging through piles of clothing, separating them into different categories - ‘Keep’, ‘Sell’, ‘Donate’ and ‘Clothes to wear after losing weight’ (it’s alright, we’ve all been there).
At the end of it all, you’re exhausted.
Instead of taking a picture of every piece of clothing you want to sell and listing it one by one online, you simply bring your huge bag of clothes to the nearest REFASH store. You hand everything over to a sales staff and Voila! You’re all set to sell your items offline at REFASH! As you leave the store, you feel a sense of satisfaction.
But… time passes and begin to wonder: “What is REFASH doing with my clothes? When will they contact me? How will I know if my item has been sold? What should I do now?!?”

We spoke with Huyen, an intern from our ‘Processing Department’ to find out what really goes on behind-the-scenes. Read on as she takes you through the entire process, from when your clothes arrive at our store to when they’re put up for sale.
STEP 1: DROP-OFF
The first thing we do after receiving your clothes is to label your bag of items with a unique ID number along with your username. All details are also entered into our system to ensure that your items can be tracked easily.
STEP 2: GET A QUOTE
Every piece of clothing is treated with care! We look through your items and value them based on the item’s brand, quality, design, condition and style. Then, we return to you with a quotation for all your items within 3 working days.
If you accept our quote, you will receive cash into your bank account within 30 days. Alternatively, you can also opt for 30% more in store credit immediately.
If you reject our quote, your clothing will be repriced before they are put up for consignment sale.
STEP 3: PRICE & SORT
Your items are repriced and a label with your username and the price is attached to the item. Then, your items are sorted into different bags and sent to various REFASH outlets based on their price and design. This ensures that your items are sold quicker!
STEP 4: SELL
Our sales staff are trained to treat your clothing with the utmost care. All items are steam ironed before they are displayed nicely on our racks.
When an item is sold, it is keyed into our system, which is linked to our dedicated Seller’s portal. Your sales will then be deposited into your account live.
