If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love shopping.
But with clothes getting pricier and trends constantly changing, shopping is becoming so expensive :'(
But guess what? It doesn't have to be!!!
Second hand shopping has changed my life COMPLETELY. Ok, I'm exaggerating a little... but I've saved so much money since I've started buying second hand clothes!
I absolutely love how I can find quality and fashionable clothes at much cheaper prices.
To prove to you just how awesome it is, I went on a shopping spree with a budget of just $50 at four different REFASH stores:
City Plaza, Pomo, West Coast Plaza....., and Orchard Gateway.
In this post, I'll be sharing with you what I got for less than $50 at each store.
First stop: City Plaza
For my first shopping trip, I went to REFASH's City Plaza outlet.
It was my first time shopping at REFASH City Plaza and wow. I was amazed. There were so many options to choose from - I wanted to buy everything!!!
Furthermore, there is a storewide discount on all items which means...
EVEN CHEAPER CLOTHES!!!!
$4.90 for bottoms,
$6.90 for tops,
$9.90 for dresses, jackets and overalls
Here are the outfits I picked out after a very satisfying shopping spree.
Romper: Love, Bonito
Before discount: $14 After discount: $9.90
I've been really into bohemian style clothing ever since I got back from my Bali trip. I saw this romper and fell in love with it immediately (anyone else has these 'love at first sight' moments with clothes? 😂).
I think it looks so cute paired with my straw bag and it's the perfect thing to wear for a casual lunch date or picnic! Also, can I just mention one thing:
$6.90 for a Love, Bonito romper?! DAMNNN.
Before discount: $12 After discount: $9.90
A little black dress is a must-have in my closet because of how versatile it is. You can wear a lbd for so many occasions and style it with different items in your closet! Going for a more casual look? Pair it with a denim jacket or a cute flannel and some sneakers. For a more stylish and put together look, just throw on a blazer and some heels!
Top: Before discount: $10 After discount: $6.90
Bottom: P.K. Studio Before discount: $14
This is definitely my favourite outfit for the day!! When I first saw this top, I was unsure if I could pull it off. But omg, after trying it on, I loved the vintage and unique look of it sooo much! The bottom fit me really well too and it's actually a skort (skirt + short), so it's super comfortable.
Now that I've showed you my outfits, let's calculate how much I spent!
Top: $10.00, Bottom: $12.00, Dress: $14.00, Romper: $14.00,
But WAIT. After applying the storewide discount to all the items, the total amount was only $33.60! That means I saved an extra $16.40!!!
I couldn't believe it, I got 4 pieces of clothing in perfectly good condition for just $33.60?! That's an average of about $8.40 per piece! 😱
Besides the huge amount of savings I got from shopping at REFASH's City Plaza outlet, I really enjoyed the entire experience of looking through racks of unique items and finding clothes that I consider as 'hidden gems'.
You can always find something new each time you visit and I'm definitely heading back to shop soon!
